  14. boboon 20 Aug 2007 at 12:04 am

    i don’t like this site at alll…..

  15. Ajin Thapaon 20 Aug 2007 at 9:00 am

    Hey Bobo….
I guess you are the most regular visitor of this site as I see many comments from you (though all are negative).

If you don’t like this site then why do you visit this site?

In my opinion you are the enemy of this site owners and you are just expressing your jeleousy.

Learn to appriciate the hard efforts put by the founders of this site to come up with first ever site for Nepalese in Singapore. All the Nepalese community elsewhere have the site but Nepalese in Singapore were not having any, despite Singapore being one of the most advanced country in IT field.

I don’t mean to say that this site is excellent but still it is the first try from any Nepalese in Singapore, so I do praise whoever is the founder of this site.

Request to the Admin of this site:
Please ban the spammers like Bobo to keep this site free from junk words.

  16. Madhavon 21 Aug 2007 at 8:36 am

    Hi Ajin Dai,
You so great, you used nano-technology to counter comment *** Before *** Mr Bobo actually wrote negative comment ..

  17. Ajin Thapaon 21 Aug 2007 at 11:18 am

    Hello Madhav bhai,

What are you trying to point out in your comments? Are you trying to prove that I commented before BOBO? Bobo commented on the 4th minute of 20 Aug and I commented at 9th hour of 20 Aug. The time of 1st hour of the day after midnight is AM and afternoon 1st hour is PM and If Bobo’s comment was after mine then it should have been PM and not AM.

I guess you should learn to check time properly.

  18. Madhavon 22 Aug 2007 at 2:34 am

    Hi Ajin Dai,
My mistake.. 12:04 AM (0004 hrs)

  19. The Real Ajin Thapaon 27 Aug 2007 at 5:49 pm

    Hi “Ajin Thapa”
Somebody is impersonating me and writing comments in this site. I would like to know if that person is really named Ajin Thapa too. That would be the first.. and interesting to know too. I have not visited this site for a long time and would like to clarify that none of these are from me. I used to live and work in Singapore but have not for almost 4 years now.

I think this is a great site. You guys have come a long way since it first started. Keep up the good work. I personally believe that if somebody dislikes this website, then he/she has the right to say so. A reason or a feedback would help make this website better from those dudes, though.

    Ajin Thapa

  20. Ajin Thapaon 28 Aug 2007 at 11:28 am

    Hello Ajin jee,

What a co-incidence, I am also Ajin Thapan and you are also Ajin Thapa. I hope we can meet some day in this round globe and get to know each other. I am not trying to impersonate you at all and why should I impersonate you at any circumstance as niether do I know you nor I knew there was another Ajin Thapa who actually was in Singapore once.

Anyway I too was in Singapore for few years and I am glad that now there is this site to provide us some info and also because of this site I came to know a bit about you.

First of all I like to say NAMASTE to all my fellow Nepali brothers and sisters in Singapore. I like to thank the Admin to start this blog. This is a great way to keep us close to each other around the world. Although I currently live in Vancouver, Canada I am a big fan of Singapore and always thinking of moving permanently there. However I don’t know that much about Singapore. I have visited Singapore 2wice and have lived in HK when I was young due to my father in the British Army. As I was surfing through the net to find fellow Nepalis in Singapore I found this blog. I like to know about Singapore before moving there. I am in IT profession. Can someone please volunteer to help me about the expense of living, food, transportation, IT job market, International school for childrens, and about our Nepali community (where they reside, community population) etc. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am a singaporean interested in learning some nepali language. I want to be able to understand and converse in nepali with my nepali friend. Is there anyone here in singapore able to teach or share with me some knowledge.
    Is there a learning centre?

    Thank you

  28. Moonon 06 Jan 2008 at 12:47 am

Hello all =) Namaste!! This is a great website. Very colorful and i love the clock that displays the time of Nepal.

My name is Moon and i am a Singaporean. Yes i am also seeking for a nepalese teacher. Because i plan to go there and stay for sometime.

Mohamed, i searched for a learning centre, but no avail so far. It really difficult.

Does anyone know of immigration to nepal? does nepal have PR status or something?

Many asked about work. I met some nurses, and realised that working in a hospital might be possible. I also saw some nepalese working in restaurants at clarke quay.

  35. nepalihearton 23 Jan 2008 at 12:54 pm

Hi to all nepalese in Singapore,

Does anyone know where I can get nice pani puri in singapore ? I have tried the pre-packed ones from mustafa centre but is no good ….I used to get my pani puri near new road in kathmandu but where to get in singapore ???

  36. nepalihearton 23 Jan 2008 at 1:06 pm

    Hi Wynne,

As far as I know , nepalese who work in restaurants are mostly students …they work a few hours a day which in actual fact not allowed to …

There are many agents in nepal that sometimes give them jobs in singapore but they have to pay high price for it some even have to sell their lands in the village to pay for agent fees …

I always feel nepalese ladies would be great domestic help other than the filipinos, indian and indonesians maids but cos there is no trade agreement between both countries so they cannot come to singapore to work ..

So for your friend case I don’t think is easy to find an employer for him ….If your friend is skilled in cooking may be some indian restaurants may require his skills ..IF not he has to come in as a student example in hotel and hospitability training and he will be attached to some hotels for training and after graduating may be he can find a job related to his field …

Hope my explanation helps you …

A lot of nepalese thinks that to get out of nepal is the best to find good money and good future but many times when they land up in a foreign land then they realise nepal is still the best …IS too stressful life in singapore compared to nepal ..So home is where your family is …
