Nepal make it three in a row, defeat Singapore

Anil Mandal and Mahesh Chettri set a record breaking partnership of 135 runs as Nepal defeated Singapore by seven wickets at the ACC Trophy Elite at Unity Cricket Ground in Kuwait, on Saturday.
Chasing a target of 217 runs Mandal 83 runs and Chettri 87 runs helped Nepal reach the target in 43.2 overs with the loss of three wickets. Sharad Vesawkar and Dipendra Chaudhary remained 18 and nine not out. While captain Paras Khadka added eight runs.
Earlier, electing to bat, Singapore made 216 runs in 49 overs. Shakti Gauchan took two wickets while Sanjam Regmi, Basanta Regmi and Rahul BK claimed one each. There were five run outs in the innings. Chettri was named the man-of-the-match.
Nepal play their last match of group A on Tuesday against Kuwait. Nepal had defeated Hong Kong and Oman by 118 runs and six wickets in the first two matches.
