Nepal beat Singapore

Gyanendra Malla, NepalDefending Champion Nepal started the U-19 Elite Cup Cricket with a seven wicket win over Singapore. In the match played at Silangar turf club of Malaysia on Monday, Nepal chased the target of 108 runs in 20.3 overs with a loss of three wickets. Captain Paras Khadka top scored with 36 runs and awarded the man of the match as well. Khaka hit two sixes and four boundries in 32 bowls.

Gyanendra Malla and Mahesh Chhetri contributed 25 and 19 runs respectively. Raj Shrestha scored 10 runs. Antim Thapa remained not out in 10 runs.

Earlier Singapore was all out for 107 runs in 40.2 overs. Rahul BK took three wickets for runs. Likewise Amrit Bhattaria, Paras Khadka and Chandra Saudh took two wickets each.

Nepal plays its next match against UAE on Wednesday.
